Ah, that was a good, relaxing weekend. Syuu~, we should do that more often, ne?

At last, spring has arrived! I've got an entire section of the store dedicated to garden plants, and a spinner rack with seeds for herbs and vegetables, and even a few for fruit. For apartment dwellers, as long as you have a balcony, I have hanging planters for everything from flowers to tomatoes and strawberries available, so you can grow your own for a fraction of the cost.

Gotta get up wicked early tomorrow to get all these deliveries done in time, but I can do it! I'm sure of that. Gotta make sure people have an excellent Valentine's day, ne? Then I gotta figure out what to do for birthdays for a few people. Ne, Yuupyon, want anything special for yours? I think I got Syuu-chan's figured out, but we'll see about that.

Happy New Years to everyone I haven't seen yet. I've just returned from visiting family in Chiba and have reopened my shop again. All the Christmas trees are gone, the mistletoe and poinsettias have been sent away to be mulched, and I'm installing another cooler section. With Valentines and White day coming up, it's important to stock up and keep a good supply on hand if I want to have a chance against my competition.

Still haven't hired anyone new, but I'm still looking. Apparently, not many people are looking for part time work this time of year, or they think it's going to be too hard. I guess I don't understand that. There's a clear schedule of what sections to water when, and Hera and Leo are pretty self sufficient. Ah well, I guess I'll leave the sign up until I get someone in who seems like a good fit. I'm not so desperate that I'll hire just anyone, not after last time.

Well, that was a bad idea. I should have just closed the shop for the duration of the trip. Instead, I come back to dead and wilting inventory, half my scheduled monthly delivery addresses missing, and negative profit. Not to mention Leo's litter box wasn't cleaned even once and Hera's mess pads were never changed. So now I no longer have an employee. On that note, anyone looking for a job, I'm hiring. Also, Atobe-san, if you could resend me the list of the scheduled deliveries and the addresses for them I will re-enter them into my system.

Wow, I clearly should have sold flowers from day one. Business is booming now! If this keeps up, I'll really need to hire someone else to help me out here, which would be awesome. In other news, Hera and Leo are both growing like weeds, and Leo has started climbing the window screens upstairs, the little stinker. I haven't gotten a picture yet, but I will. I think it's high time to get him that scratching post I've been saving space for.

Alright, so I've been tossing around an idea for a while now, and I think I'm gonna go through with it. I've got the space for it, so I'm adding a flower case. Got all the usual choices and some more unique ones, and I have catalogs to special order nearly anything. So anyone who needs to get flowers to apologize to their special someone can come on by my store.

So I went to the shelter today to look at some puppies and to get one of the kittens that Kirihara-kun posted about. As a matter of fact, the little guy I picked out is the orange tabby shown in the post! He's a little snuggler, and hopefully will be opening his eyes by the end of the week. On the puppy front, I found a sweet little mutt who's gonna make a perfect shop dog. I've decided to name her Hera since the kitten is getting named Leo. I'm typically not a cat fan, but this little guy has already won me over. And Hera seems to like him, too. And boy, is she a quiet little pup! The only time she's really woofed is when Leo starts squeaking for some formula, and she stops as soon as she knows that I've heard them both. Clearly, she was meant to be a big sister to the tiny guy. Though now I have to wonder if he's going to think he's a dog as he gets bigger.
